Knocked Loose's most recent album, "Yow Won't Go Before You're Supposed To", has made the band reach a level of popularity that seemed impredictable for a sound like theirs. The album, released in may of 2024, is less than half an hour long, and condenses a raw and dense energy in every song that will definitely stick to your head. A talent like theirs is not easy to forget.

The vocals are pretty high-pitched, and a bit nasal. The drums are fast, the fills and blast beats are amazing. The guitar riffs are distorted and hard. The production of the songs is very detailed, everything is put exacty where it's supposed to be to ensure the maximum impact. Another interesting quality is the use of silences, gaps that build tension right before a breakdown or a heavy riff to only intensity the impact of their sound. The whole mix of instruments makes this album sound like heavy industrial machinery colliding into each other. It could perfectly be the soundtrack of an apocallyptic movie, what you would expect to hear when watching buildings stomping as they move.

To finish, we have to mention some tracks that were the stars of the show. Although every single song of the album is good, "Suffocation" (the main single) is definitely one of the best ones. In this song, Knocked Loose collaborated with singer Poppy. Her voice feels very refreshing to the mix, and blends perfectly with the band's sound. her harsh but feminine vocals go extremely hard, and the change of beat towards the end of the song to an almost Reggaeton sound is one of my personal favourite moments of the album. "Blinding Faith" and "Don't Reach For Me" are also great, so don't hesitate on checking them out.
